The Quick Crimp

Need a section or two of crimped hair, but you don't have a crimping iron? All you need is about 3 minutes and a flat iron or curling iron!
  1. Take a small section of hair and braid it tightly
  2. Take your hot flat iron or curling iron and run it down the length of the hair about 10 times
  3. Wait for it to cool while you repeat steps 1 and 2 on other sections
  4. Gently unravel the hair and voila a gorgeous crimped look in less than 5 minutes
  5. Finish it off with a chic headband of hair clip

The Helpful Hanger

Near my house is a humongous black raspberry bush, but sometimes I find it troubling to walk through the vines to retrieve some of the berries in the back of the bush. Here I have a solution- A wire hanger (The kind with a cardboard bottom is preferred, but a regular one will work too).

First remove the cardboard loop on the bottom if there is one. It should come off with a simple tug.  Then connect the two ends by means of the curves, if you have the right kind of hanger you'll know what I'm talking about.  Finally, secure it with a piece of duct tape or packaging tape.  Use the hanger hook to grab the far away vines of a bush and pull it towards you. A Great Arm Extension!

If you're using a plain old wire hanger, lengthen it by straightening out any curves and making a curve at the bottom. That works just fine as well!

Practical Putty

I've recently discovered a few things you can do with silly putty.

Summer solution
1. Take a ball of silly putty and an ice cube
2. Flatten and spread out the putty
3.Wrap the ice cube in the putty
4. Place it on a pulse point such as your wrist
5. Rebel against the sun's heat and cool off!!!

Pencil gripper
1. Take a ball of silly putty and divide it into three parts
2. Flatten and shape into a rectangle (Do this for each part)
3. Take a pen or pencil and wrap the putty around it

4. No more sore hands!

Gift card holder
1. Take your silly putty and shape it into a square
2. Put a corner of the gift card on the putty diagonally
3. Fold over the putty and shape around the card accordingly.
4. Do this to the other 3 corners if you'd like
5. Stick the gift card on a place other than the refrigerator( or on the fridge, that works too!)
